The extended range of Hozelock Air Pumps now come in 5 different size ranging from 320 LPH to 4500 LPH. The full range of pumps are fully weatherproof and include 3m of mains cable on the 320 and 640 sizes and 10m on the 1500, 2700 and 4500. The Hozelock Air Pumps fall into 3 groups. The Hozelock Air 320 and 640 Air Pumps are made of impact resistant, weatherproof plastic and are particularly suitable for smaller ponds. They have either 2 of 4 outlets and are supplied with 10m of airline tubing, a 3cm air stone and non-return valve for each connection. The Hozelock Air 1500 Air Pumps are also made of impact resistant, weatherproof plastic, but has a plastic 6 connection outlet manifold. The Hozelock Air 1500 Air Pump is supplied with 2 x 10m of airline tubing, 2 x 5cm cylinder air stones and 2 non-return valves. The Hozelock Air 2700 and 4500 Air Pumps the "Big Brothers" of the range. With a weatherproof stylish aluminium housing. The Hozelock Air 2700 and 4500 Air Pumps are supplied with a chrome coated metal manifold with 12 outlets, 2 x 10m of air tubing, 2 x 100mm sintered air stones 50mm in diameter and 2 x non-return valves. Both pumps have a quiet reliable low wattage motor (35w) and rubber feet to stop the pump vibrating.

All Hozelock Air Pumps are supplied with a 2 year guarantee.

Although many factors including humidity, temperature, stocking density and surface area to pond volume ratio, can affect the Oxygen levels within a pond. We generally recommend a minimum air flowrate of:

100 Litres Per Hour (1.7 Litres Per Minute) / 1000 Litres (220 Gallons) of Pond Volume

Or

450 Litres Per Hour (7.5 Litres Per minute) / 1000 Gallons (4500 Litres) of Pond Volume

What is Effective Volume ?
The effective volume is the quantity of water in your pond, plus an allowance for shallow and or ponds exposed to high levels of sunlight. Both of these situations will result in a higher than normal algae growth, and fish pollution. We advise that to ensure your that your equipment is correctly sized, the effective volume be considered the minimum size for the equipment you select. However do remember to check the details of the product you are interested in, to ensure that there are no other allowances or consideration specific to that product are required.
