The 40mm (1½") internal diameter flexible hose is one of 8 different types of hose we supply to suit all the products we sell. The corrugation of the 40mm hose contains a strengthener, which enables the hose to be flexible and strong but will not kink in most pond installations. The hose is black for easy concealment and to discourage growth of algae on the inside, which can, long term, lead to a reduction in the hose diameter and thus affect the pumps performance. When using flexible pipework we recommend the use of Stainless Steel Jubilee Clips to ensure a secure and leak free installation.
